Comment In 2008 Sacred Heart College Auckland NZ was privileged to perform our College Haka to all those who died. It was the culmination of our pilgrimage to find the graves of our Sacred Heart Sons who were killed here in WW1

Comment On the 30/03/2009, me and 32 other students attended the Last Post ceremony, where we laied a Writhe on behalf of the school and another on behalf of the British Red Cross. Before hand we especially remembered an old boy of the school, Conrad Walter Pearson, and Walter Smith, one of my class mates relations. It was an experience that I will never forget and I'll hopefully get a chance to attend again. Thank You.

Comment I had the privilege of attending the ceremony in 1999 as part of a battle fields tour. I left incredibally moved(who can fail to be moved?) and inspired to find out more about what our ancestors put themselves through either willingly or conscripted. My only regret is never having realised my own grandfather had been in the Battle of the Somme and had survived. The memory has never left me of what i saw and experienced and I plan to return in May this year having read more books. I always where my poppy with pride now.
